Pilot Tone Generators
Pilot Tone Generators are used to ensure the system remains balanced by using a known signal for each line amplifier to reference to. The frequency of the Pilot Tone is agile to ensure compatibility with a range of system configurations and other types of line amplifiers. Depending on the application, pilot tone generators can be part of the headend or placed in the first amplifier on the main line.
